Trans-Fat Should be Avoided In ADHD Diet

Other terms for Trans fats are “partially hydrogenated”, “hydrogenated”, and “shortening.” If you pick up a product and you think it’s safe because it says “Trans fat are 0g,” that means it has less than 0.5g. US ruling says that it the fat content is less than 0.5g per serving, manufacturer cans list it as having 0 gram. It may seem like a small amount but seriously how many of us eat one serving size. Most kids will eat multipe servings exceeding this intake.

Trans fat are the result of adding hydrogen to vegetable oils. They are used to extend the shelf life of products and to make fried foods taste crispy.

Here are some of the Trans-fattiest foods in your supermarket:

1. Hostess Cherry Fruit Pies (8g per serving)

2. Pop Secret Kettle Corn (6g per serving)

3.Celeste Original Pizza (5g per serving)

4. Pillsbury Grands Flaky Supreme Cinnabon Cinnamon Rolls (5g per serving)

5.Austin Cheese Crackers With Cheddar Jack Cheese (4.5g per serving)

*Your limit should be less than 2g a day.

Favorite Green Drink for ADD/ADHD

Handful of organic spinach

Handful of grapes

3 slices of organic pineapples

pinch of pure stevia extract

Fill distilled water over Vitamix blades and toss everything in. Mix for about 30-45 seconds. Makes two servings. This is a very delicious green drink! It has become a common request among friends and family.

Spinach is super source of  antioxidants (folate, beta carotene, lutein, etc) and the king of digestion (heals almost all stomach lesions). Don’t cook spinach or you will lose the oxalic acid healing properties.

Red grapes are high in antioxidant quercetin and resveratrol. Always try to purchase grapes with seeds. You will want to remove the seeds before you juice. Grapes that do not have seeds have been GMO which is a major no no for ADD/ADHD.

Pineapples contain one of the strongest protein digestive enzyme called bromelain. They are also loaded with tons of vitamins and minerals. They strengthen your bones because they are rich in manganese and they can help heal a damaged digestive tract.

Best Cereal For ADD/ADHD

A common question I’m asked is what do we eat for breakfast. Sometimes Charlie will eat raw organic oatmeal in unsweetened soy milk ( sweetened with 1/4 tsp pure stevia extract) with 2-3 scrambled eggs cooked in coconut oil. We completely stay away from sugar and butter. Sometimes he’ll sprinkle raw Himalayan salt or his favorite spices over his eggs. Lately we have been enjoying Ezekiel 4:9 Sprouted Whole Grain Original cereal for breakfast. Because the grains are sprouted it is very gentle on your digestive system and full of beneficial enzymes. It’s an organic cereal that doesn’t contain preservatives or anything artificial for that matter. It has 0 sugar and this cereal uses six sprouted grains and legumes making it a complete protein. My husband uses 1 cup of Ezekiel in unsweetened soy milk. He adds 1 full dropper of Vanilla Alcohol Free Stevia. It’s crazy delicious and sooo good for you! I prefer to mix my cereal in either unsweetened rice milk or almond milk. One bottle of liquid vanilla stevia (2 oz) will cost you $14.99. After using this product you will never consider sugar or artificial sweeteners again. Sometimes my husband will mix either raw carob, raw chocolate, organic cinnamon, or fruit (bananas, strawberries, blueberries, etc) in his cereal. Personally I do not put anything in my cereal except the stevia. The great thing about protein is how full it keeps you all day. Which is great for ADD/ADHD since they tend to get hungry quicker than most kids. Not only does protein help with focus but it helps to stabilize their blood sugar too. You should also check out Ezekiel sprouted breads. We LOVE their sesame bread! We went to our local grocery store and talked them into ordering this bread for us. You can definitely find it at your local health food stores that have a refrigerator selection. We order our cereal in bulk on www.amazon.com (Free shipping). This is a pricey cereal but well worth it. Price ranging anywhere from $5.25- $6.69 per box. You can order vanilla stevia at www.NuNaturals.com (Free shipping for orders over $35) Enthusiastically yours, Shirley Highers www.addnaturalremedy.com When the grass looks greener on the other side of the fence, it may be that they are taking better care of it.

Perfect Meal For Thanksgiving

Everyone has been calling me asking me what I’m going to make for Thanksgiving. This will the first Thanksgiving where I will actually be doing the cooking. Normally we get in the car and drive to our relatives to eat. We stuff our faces and move on to the next house. Finally around 5pm we make our way back home rubbing our bloated bellies. We have always been so proud of those moments. No cooking or cleaning. Thanksgiving has always been our cheat day. But since last June and especially August, I have moved our family toward more organic raw living meals. Currently we eat 95% organic, 75% raw, and 25% tofu or chicken. So here we are; Turkey day and everyone wants to know including myself what I’m going to make that will be healthy.

So I decided to go with a chicken instead of a turkey. Turkey is always so dry. Plus no one ever wants the left over because it’s so dry. The night before I marinated my cage free, grass fed, no antibiotic and steroid chicken in the our favorite spices. Next morning I smoked it for 5hrs @ 225.

I selected broccoli as one of our sides dishes due to it’s strong disease fight factors and abundant antioxidants. I made sure I prepared a raw dish. In a bowl, I cut up(bite size) 2 broccoli heads. I diced up 1/2 organic red onion and and 2 celery stalks. For the sauce, I used 1/2 cup Veganise, added 1/4 tsp pure stevia extract, 1/4 tsp sea salt, and 2 tbsp organic unfiltered apple cider vinegar. I poured the mixture onto my veggies and sprinkled in some hunza raisins.

For my second side dish I selected sweet potatoes because it’s one of the BEST choice for complex carbohydrates! It helps with your metabolism, has anti-inflammatory properties, it ties with carrots when it comes to having the highest amount of beta-carotene, it’s rich in potassium, vit A, & vit C, and contains a large amount of fiber. I sliced up 4 large organic sweet potatoes and then layered them in a casserole dish. I poured 1/4 cup of organic cold pressed coconut oil over the sweet potatoes and sprinkled some sea salt and cinnamon. I covered with foil and baked @ 400 F for 30 mins. In my smaller food processer I poured 1/2 cup of organic bran & flakes cereal with a handful of spouted walnuts. I sprinkled 1/4 tsp pure stevia extract and grounded everything together. After I removed the sweet potatoes from the oven, I poured the grounded cereal/walnut over the sweet potatoes and then placed a layer of walnuts on top of the cereal. I sprinkled cinnamon & pumpkin pie seasoning and some salt over everything. I left it uncovered and stuck it back in the oven for another 15 mins. Once out of the oven, I sprinkled raw unsweetened chocolate (cacao) over walnuts. I also took 1 tbsp of organic raw agave or Grade B maple syrup and strategically placed small drops all over the top of the casserole. I did half the casserole in maple (1/2 tbsp) and half in agave (1/2 tbsp) to see what everyone liked the best.

For dessert I made a raw vegan sprouted almond cheesecake. I was suppose to use cashews but they’re very fatty. Almonds are easily digested and so very good for you especially when you sprout them. Nutritional level jumps up about 3-4 times higher. I wanted to keep Thanksgiving lite so everyone didn’t feel heavy afterwards wanting to take a nap. The goal was to select foods that didn’t require a lot of energy to break down and does not stick to the colon walls.

I was just praying that everything turned out okay that day. Well it turned out better than okay. The meal was such a success that we didn’t even have left over’s for dinner. We could not stop eating. The chicken was soooo juicy and spicy! The sweet potatoes tasted more like dessert because the cereal made it crunchy. Everything was so yummy! And no bloated bellies either!

Is Organic Food Not Nutritionally Better Than Commerical Produce?

According to the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine Researchers, organic produce DO NOT have a higher nutritional content. This team of researchers have now completed the most extensive systematic review of the available published literature on nutrient content of organic food ever conducted. Over 50,000 papers were searched, and a total of 162 relevant articles were identified that were published over a fifty-year period up to 29 February 2008 and compared the nutrient content of organically and conventionally produced foodstuffs. The review focused on nutritional content and did not include a review of the content of contaminants or chemical residues in foods from different agricultural production regimens. The researchers found organically and conventionally produced foods to be comparable in their nutrient content. For 10 out of the 13 nutrient categories analyzed, there were no significant differences between production methods in nutrient content.

So, since this is now a proven fact, “Do I still recommend that ADD/ADHD have a strict organic diet and continue to pull the crap from their diet such as dairy, MSG, hydrogenated oils, etc??” My answer is, ABSOLUTELY!!  As I mentioned in previous blogs: Eating organic foods isn’t just about getting more minerals and vitamins into your diet but to bypass poisonous chemicals that are used to grow produce and livestock. Heck why do you think we still put our son on high quality liquid supplements to aid with this ADHD? I never once for a moment that he was going to get everything he needed just from the food the consumed especially since ADHD are highly deficient in vitamins and minerals already. He would have to eat like 8-10 serving sizes of various raw vegetables daily. Please understand that eating organic foods is crucial for ADD/ADHD because they are FREE of pesticides, herbicides, harmful fertilizers, insecticides, or any other poisons for that matter. PLUS they are not GMO or genetically engineered or modified. Organic meats or livestock’s are FREE of antibiotics, steroids, and growth hormones. Since omega-3 originates in the green leaves of plants, grass, and algae; organic grass feed livestock’s will be higher in omega-3 and CLA (helps fend off cancer and burns body fat). Ask yourself, “What is ADD/ADHD?” It’s a neurological disorder. Pesticides, fertilizers, hydrogenated oils, etc. are all neurotoxins. This means they are destroying neurotransmitters and keeping the nervous system from developing properly. Do you really think it’s a good idea for a child who doesn’t have a developed immune system diagnosed with ADD/ADHD that they should eat chemical laden foods that’s only going to make their existing problems worst? Personally I think EVERYONE should eat organic not just ADD/ADHD! When you purchase organic products this is the only way to ensure that their are NO artificial sweeteners, dyes, flavors, MSG, trans fat, or other preservatives.

Organic Raw Chocolate GREAT For ADD/ADHD

I have found chocolate heaven! I have stumble upon a fricking delicious, simply pure, and completely raw organic snack….. Righteously Raw Organic Chocolate Bars.

This is a Vegan/Kosher bar that is FREE of Gluten and Soy. There are NO refined sugars in this bar!!! Raw Chocolate is a super antioxidant and because this chocolate isn’t roasted, the nutritional elements are not damaged providing an ABUNDANCE of minerals. Chocolate gets a bad rap because of the way it’s processed and it usually contains dairy. Let’s not forget that dairy is a common food allergy for ADD/ADHD and it’s ridicoulsy hard on our digestive system to break down too.

These bars are not only delicious but they are acutally good for you! Righteously Raw flavor Maca Bar (Chocolate) and 90% Cacao Bar (Goji) have ONLY 4g sugar per servings (each bar has 3 servings). 80% Cacao Bar (Acai) has 5g sugar and 90% Cacao Bar (Caramel) has 6g sugar. How fricking amazing is that???? It’s very hard to find a snack or energy bar out there today that doesn’t have a high sugar content and still taste good. Sugar is one of the major culprits in compounding ADD/ADHD issues. I eat one entire bar every other day or every 2 days. I like to break them up into their serving size and nibble on them thorough out the day.  Righteously Raw bars are sweetened with Golden Hunza Raisins and Bahri dates (lowest glycemic index than any other date). Your taste buds will not even notice the low sugar content. The raisins and dates pack just enough sweetness. Since ADD/ADHD are usually low in their neurotransmitters dopamine and serotonin, raw Chocolate will benefit them because it stimulates their endorphins to produce these ”feel good” neurotransmitters WITHOUT compromising their health. Plus these Organic bars are made in a nut free facility! Great news since majority ADD/ADHD have food allergies.

These are pricey bars they usually run you around $5.95 per bar on the net and over $6.99 in health food stores but they are well WORTH IT!! I order my bars from this site: http://www.coolrawfood.com/webstore/product.php?productid=16918&cat=352&bestseller=Y . You get 3 flavors (Chocolate, Goji, & Caramel) for $14.18.

What Are Healthy Snacks For ADD/ADHD Who Have Yeast Overgrowth?

Q: Since you always say that yeast overgrowth is common with ADD/ADHD, I talk to my DR and she is going put my son on a fungal cleanse. Right now she has him taking some antifungal product and probiotics that she has recommended. I was wondering what are some healthy snacks you send to school with your son? I find that cutting sugar out of my son’s diet is impossible! But I’m trying :).

Lizza

A: You only have to cut sugar out when you are doing a yeast/fungus cleanse for about 3-4 weeks. The point of the cleanse is to kill the yeast/fungus by starving them from their unusual supply of food (sugar, refined carbs, processed and junk food). Yeast overgrowth is so common with ADD/ADHD. It is also one of the #1 mimickers of ADD/ADHD.  Many adults and children find that after a yeast/fungal cleanse they no longer have mood issues and problems with memory or concentration. Food allergies, heavy metal toxicity, poor diet, over use of antibiotics or prescription meds (ADD/ADHD meds, steroids, birth control, antacids, etc) all contribute to yeast domination. Charlie seems to have a sensitivity to sugar. Even after a cleanse if he eats high amounts of sugar (especially refined sugars) it doesn’t take much for the fungus to proliferate again. Because of this it definitely makes searching for healthy snacks extremely difficult. His Biometics AM drink already has over 50g of sugar in it. Even though it’s a healthy sugar that is time released through out the day, starting the day out at that high of a number makes me have to work extra hard at finding snacks that are low in GOOD sugars. You are always going to have yeast in your body. But the ratio should be 15% yeast and 85% good flora. As long as I can keep the good sugars down to less than 100g a day, the balance of good flora in his gut is maintained at that ratio. But also keep in mind, he will take a probiotic first thing in the morning with his Biometics AM drink which ensures that the good bacteria flourishes and is established early on in the day. Next we always cook with extra virgin cold pressed organic coconut oil, which yeast and bad bacteria absolutely hate. And last, we juice in our vitamix one veggie drink after school that has one organic clove (we always select a nice big clove, not a skimpy one) per person in it….which fungus and parasites totally hates! Garlic is a natural antibiotic. I believe the correct saying is “A garlic clove and probiotic a day, will keep the doctor away!” Plus cheating on bad foods and dessert once on the weekend doesn’t affect the balance of Charlie’s natural flora because we have establish a healthy routine all week that allows his good bacteria to thrive. Depending how bad we cheat when we go out to eat, Charlie will sit in our infrared sauna or take a clay bath the next day. But we ALWAYS take a digestive enzyme when we eat out.

My two favorite places to shop on line are www.vitacost.com and www.VitaminShoppe.com. However Vitacost does seem to have the better savings but there are certain products that I can not buy on vitacost that I can only get at vitamin shoppe. I’m always on the prowl for healthy snacks. I bought a dehydrator but can’t seem to master the protein bar recipes. I think I need to take some kind of class or something. A dehydrator will allow you to make the BEST snacks such as your own organic trail mixes, flax crackers, and even veggie burgers. For some freaking reason I can’t seem to get pass the recipes for fruit roll ups and dehydrated fruits, which are all way to high in sugar for Charlie to eat everyday.

Favorite Health Bar

1. Organic Hempseed Bar (5g Sugar 9g Protein and 5g Fiber)

This is if I may say, a bad ass little bar. Low in good sugars but still high is protein (stabilize blood sugar) and fiber (binds to toxins & keep you regular) as well which are both important for ADD/ADHD. Forget about the fat content. The fats in this bar are the good fats. It contains a perfect balance of omega-3, omega 6, and GLA. Ingredients for this bar are: sunflower seeds, honey, shelled hempseeds, flax seeds, and pumpkin seeds. How simple is that?? A light bar that is o so good for you. Charlie takes one bar with him for lunch everyday. A box of 24 will run around $33.74 at vitaminshoppe. Nutiva donates 1% of all sales to exemplary organizations that support and promote sustainable agriculture. So far they have donated over $30,000. It was also one of the first food companies to place Non-GMO (Genetically Modified) symbol on their labels.

** KIND Healthy Snacks

This health bar is our “cheat bars.” They are not bars that we would eat daily. These are handmade bars made with all natural ingredients and premium nuts (almonds, Brazilian nuts, etc) that are all naturally dried and held together with honey. These bars are just so yummy without compromising your health. These bars are made by Peace Works which is a non profit company who seeks to foster peace through business. Our favorite bars are Kind Bar Sesame & Peanuts with Chocolate (15g Sugar, 6g Protein, and 15g Fat) and  Kind Fruit Nut Bars Almond & Coconut (11g Sugar, 4g Protein, and 14g Fat). These bars are a bit heavy but sill a good all natural product that supports a good cause. When Charlie takes these bars with him other kids are always begging him for a bite. They are delicious! A box of 8 will cost $14.99 at VitaminShoppe.

Difference Between Fruits and Vegetables for ADD/ADHD

Q: We have began making the proper dietary changes in our diet. In the morning I will cut up bananas and apples with my son’s oatmeal (organic). When he gets home from school he will eat more pre-cut fruits; apples, grapes, strawberries- all organic :) that I keep a Tupperware of it in our refrigerator. It’s been hard getting him to eat veggies. He will eat green beans or a romaine salad with ranch dressing sometimes. I will try to increase his veggies. Any advice?

Angela

A: The first time we changed our diet to more fruits and veggies, I didn’t really notice much of a difference in our bodies. However, when I pulled the bad stuff (MSG, artificial colors, dyes, preservatives, HCFS, etc) we saw immediate changes within the first week. We did notice one thing from eating more fruits and veggies, we all began having regular daily bowel movements (sometimes 2-3 times a day). It would take many more months down this road before I finally understood the importance of living foods and enzymes, over cooked veggies, and eating more fruits IS NOT the same as eating veggies.

Difference Between Fruits and Vegetables

1. At least 60% of food intake should come from vegetables, roots and tubers, FRESH herbs, baby greens, salad greens, and the most important veggie of them all…..sprouts.

2. Less than 15% of your food intake should come from fruits.

3. Next, you need to know the difference between fruits and vegetables. For instance, Did you know that tomatoes and celery are classified as a fruit? A very helpful site for me that you should check out:  http://www.greenforlife.com/.

4. Also, Did you know that you shouldn’t eat fruit mixed with other veggies, carbs, or meats? The sugars and acid in fruits slow down the digestion of the carbohydrates causing them to ferment and spoil in your belly resulting in bloating and gas. When you do eat fruit, you should eat it by itself. It only takes 15mins to 30 mins to digest.

5. Did you know that fruit is VERRRY high in sugar? Which is something that ADD/ADHD need to avoid especially in their first month down the natural remedy’s path. Once their body is cleansed of yeast/fungus then you can start introducing good sugars (in moderation) back into their diet. NOTE: Any fruit that ends in “berries” are always good for your kidneys.

6. Living food IS NOT the same as cooked veggies. Once food is cooked above 115 F many important nutrients and enzymes are destroyed. Living foods are chlorophyll and enzyme rich and this is what takes the burden off a toxic overloaded system and allow your body to begin to heal. If your cooking the green beans over this temp then at this point your really only eating it for it’s fiber content. Try to do your best to steam, dehydrate, or eat more raw veggies. Some veggies are better on your digestive system such as carrots when cooked but for the most part try to eat raw when possible.

7. And last, sprouts have the MOST amazing nutritional value (broccoli sprouts, alfalfa sprouts, etc)! Because they contain the highest level of amino acids, vitamins, and minerals, they are considered  to be one of the MOST PERFECT FOODS known to mankind! For instance, mung bean sprouts have 25% more protein than  a T-bone steak. Sprouts are easy to grow at your home and will help on cost even growning orgainc seeds ;). You can always top sprouts on any sandwich or you mix them in a smoothie.

My Advice:

1. Look into whole foods such as barley grass, wheat grass, chlorella, spirulina, bee pollen, etc. and begin making green smoothies. To help with cost, take a powder form during the week and on the weekends juice the real thing. For example: We take organic wheat grass powder Mon-Thurs. Friday is our day off. On Sat and Sun we juice real organic wheat grass in our vita mix.

2. Purchase a vita mix www.vitamix.com. I’m telling you that this will be one of your best investment on your journey. Go to their site and check out their videos. I can tell you that we can not eat fennel, beets, or radishes but we sure can drink it! If you can create a veggie drink of your choice that only takes a few mins, this will be a lot easier on you getting your child to cooperate and it will open the door to endless selections of vegetables that he would not normally touch.

Non-Organic Produce That ADD/ADHD Can Eat

In today’s declining economy eating organic may not be an option for your family. One of the many health benefits of organic produce is that they are free of pesticides. This poison has a negative effect on ADD/ADHD because it can heighten their brain’s sensitivity to food allergies and it can cause neurological problems. So let’s discuss some of your options. According to the EWG (Environmental Working Group) they have put together two lists, produce with the highest and lowest amount of pesticides (www.foodnews.org).

Here are the top 15 produces when ingested contain less than 2 pesticides daily:

1. Onion

2. Avocado

3. Sweet Corn

4. Pineapples

5. Mango

6. Asparagus

7. Sweet Peas

8. Kiwi

9. Cabbage

10. Eggplant

11. Papaya

12. Watermelon

13. Broccoli

14. Tomato

15. Sweet Potato

Here are the top 12 produces when ingested contain 10 pesticides daily (Buy Organic):

1. Peach

2. Apple

3. Bell Pepper

4. Celery

5. Nectarine

6. Strawberries

7. Cherries

8. Kale

9. Lettuce

10. Grapes (Imported)

11. Carrot

12. Pear

Clearly you can understand why these 12 produces should be bought organic, BUT since money is a factor, here’s your second option. On my website under “Natural Antibiotics,” I have listed Nutribiotic GSE Organic Liquid Concentrate Grapefruit Seed Extract. It comes in a plastic bottle ranging from 2-4oz. This little bottle with last you FOREVER! You can buy this over the Internet or health food store. It will be cheaper if you buy online. Every household in my opinion should always have a bottle of GSE and Colloidal Silver. I’ll blog another day about the wide range benefits of this natural antibiotic.

What you need to know about GSE,is that by adding 30 drops of NutriBiotic GSE in a FULL sink of water and soaking produce (veggies, fruits, meats, poultry) for about 2-5 mins, it will kill and clean off all parasites, dust mites, insecticides, pesticides, etc.. You can also spray GSE onto produce. Add 20 drops of NutriBiotic GSE to a 32oz pump sprayer filled with water. Spray on any produce and rinse if desired.

Corn A Major Food/Brain Allergy for ADD/ADHD

This is a comment that was sent to me and I’m so excited to post this on my blog:

I was diagnosed with A.D.D. (A.D.H.D) when I was 6 in 1984. About a decade ago I tried a self directed elimination diet after I had returned from living in Europe: where my symptoms of hyperactivity had completely disappeared. It took me 5 years, but I finally realized that I was allergic to CORN, including HFCS, corn syrup and all the other 1,200 derivatives of corn that are in 80% of our US foods. This allergy triggered my A.D.H.D. I felt good in Europe (and since in Canada) because they use wheat not corn in most their traditional foods. It took me so long to figure this out in the US, because in the ingredient lists of most products corn can be called, gluten, dextrose, and is used to make food coloring and food additives…etc.. etc..

The other interesting parallel that I discovered is that after the US initiated its trade embargo with Cuba in the mid-70s our supply of cheap cane sugar was cut-off and manufacturers had to find another source of sweetener. It was at this point that the corn suppliers stepped in and corn has been a major additive of our foods since. This addition of corn to our foods in non-traditional ways parallels exactly the increase in diagnosis of disruptive children with A.D.H.D. in the late 70s and early 80s. So my advice to people with A.D.H.D, take a week off corn (and A.D.H.D. medications)… Make your own food from scratch and just see if this makes a difference in your life. I can feel the difference with in 2 or 3 days.

Good references for learning about corn in US food are the book “The Omnivores Dilemma” and the new documentary “King Corn”.

Jason

I’m so glad Jason shared his personal experience and knowledge with me! It pains me to see children as young as 3 years old being put on ADD/ADHD medication when most of these children could have taken a $150 Food Allergy Test or do a Heavy Metal cleanse. I feel like a broken record when I mention in most of my blogs or e-mails that if you are a parent of a child that may have ADD/ADHD please go take:

1. Heavy Metal Test

2. Neurotransmitter Test

3. Fatty Acid Test

4. Food Allergy Test

5. Intracellular Test (optional)

These are the FIRST steps I would have taken had I known about these tests. Do you think ADD/ADHD medication cure the root of your problem? By taking these tests you begin to indentify the core of the problem versus treating the symptoms. As you can see Jason testimony is a great example of how food allergies contribute to hyperactivity. Like Jason we did an elimination diet too because like I said we were unaware of this test. This is a method of removing specific foods or chemicals from your diet for a specific period of time before reintroducing them and noting the effects in a journal or diary. Charlie’s kryptonite are dairy and especially artifical chemicals (MSG, and artificial colors, dyes, and preservatives). Not one single family practitioner, pediatrician, or psychiatrist mention this option to us. Instead they were all adamant that ADD/ADHD medication was the only option that would work. These test would have shaved off a year of trail and error for us.

Here’s a great example of finding the “Root” of the problem: My husband’s client was diagnosed with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome about 10 years ago. Her health was getting worse and worse as time went on. I had mention many times go get a Food Allergy Test done. But she was someone that believed whatever her doctor told her to do and an food allergy test sounded silly to him. But one day she was at the Health Store and they had a licensed pharmacist on staff that had a Bio-Feedback machine. She took this as a sign and decided to take this test. She sat for 1 hr with her hands on these hand-shaped things that are attached to the computer. It tells you what your levels are and your sensitivities to food. Mold and corn were her kryptonite. So she went home and pulled ANYTHING corn out of her diet. And then she realized what I had been telling her for months, HFCS is in everything. Like Jason within 3 days of eliminating corn from her diet, her fatigue was nearly gone.

Food/brain allergies have different affects on different individuals. Some individual can become hyperactive or depressed. Jason mention that ”corn can be used for food coloring and food additives.” Great point and another reason why you must also pull the artificial colors, flavors, and preservatives from your diet. Another major point that stood out about my husband’s client Bio-feed back results, was her sensitivity to mold as well. Rae Ann (Biometics Distributor) had mention to me about a book called “The Fungal Link by Doug Kaufman.” http://www.know-the-cause.com/Shows/tabid/54/Default.aspx Kaugman talks about how corn and peanuts get moldy because of the way they are grown and stored. So when someone has a sensitivity to corn products, they are also having problems with the mold in the corn too. Food allergies will lead to yeast overgrowth and constant inflammation. This overgrowth will develop into fungus and mold causing chaos in your brain and body chemistry. This is a must read book!!!

Enthusiastically yours,
