2010 Envirnomental Working Group Latest On “Dirty Dozen List”

Purchasing organically grown produce is the ideal first step in gaining control of ADD/ADHD, however I do understand that for some of us it can become too costly for our budget. So knowing how to discriminate between the least amount of chemcials for certain produce needs to become an important part of your eating habits.

I have updated this year’s Environmental Working Group’s latest 2010 list of the “Dirty Dozen:

While carrots, pears, and lettuce are no longer included on the list, unfortunately, spinach, blueberries, and potatoes have taken their place.

Dirty Dozen” (Always and I mean always try to buy these produce organic)

  1. Celery
  2. Peaches
  3. Strawberries
  4. Apples
  5. Blueberries
  6. Nectarines
  7. Bell Peppers
  8. Spinach
  9. Kale
  10. Cherries
  11. Potatoes
  12. Grapes (Imported)

Equally helpful when shopping is to know which fruits and vegetables have the least amount of pesticide residues, so when organic varieties of the “Dirty Dozen” are unavailable, you can choose these as great alternatives: (To Clean chemicals off of these produces, soaking them in Grapefruit seed extract- follow directions from GSE website)

  1. Onions
  2. Avocado
  3. Sweet Corn
  4. Pineapple
  5. Mangos
  6. Sweet Peas

  8. Kiwi
  9. Cabbage
  10. Eggplant
  11. Cantaloupe
  12. Watermelon

Enthusiastically yours,
